Papabo, a trusted leader in home repair services, has partnered with Taobao Hong Kong to introduce PapaHome partnered with Taobao—a pioneering furniture and lifestyle store that combines online shopping convenience with immersive in-person experiences. Opening on 22 February 2025, the new PapaHome retail store promises to revolutionise how furniture, home décor and renovation materials are sourced in Hong Kong.

Conveniently located on the second floor of China Hong Kong City in Tsim Sha Tsui, PapaHome partnered with Taobao spans over 25,000 square feet, offering an extensive and thoughtfully curated collection of furniture and design essentials, carefully selected from Taobao’s most trusted merchants to ensure quality excellence.

The space will feature a wide array of items, including sofas, dining sets, wardrobes, children’s furniture, pet products, and customisable furniture. Additionally, select home-fitness features are integrated into custom furniture to enhance functionality and space efficiency. For home improvement enthusiasts, a dedicated selection of high-quality renovation materials such as tiles and flooring has been assembled. Each product is carefully chosen for its quality, safety, affordability, and design, ensuring that PapaHome partnered with Taobao provides a holistic approach to creating modern, functional, and stylish living spaces.At the core of this initiative is an innovative Online-Merge-Offline (OMO) model that seamlessly bridges the gap between the digital and physical retail worlds. Items on display at PapaHome partnered with Taobao are equipped with QR codes that provide easy access to detailed product information, exclusive discounts and the convenience of online checkout via Taobao. This approach allows visitors to physically explore and interact with products while retaining the ease and accessibility of Taobao completing purchases online.

The introduction of PapaHome in partnership with Taobao heralds the debut of some of Taobao’s most prestigious and innovative merchants in Hong Kong, offering a curated selection of over 10,000 high-quality product series from more than 100 top online and offline brands. Featured names include leading Chinese listed companies such as GOLDENHOME (603180.SH) for customized kitchen cabinets, DONGPENG HOLDINGS (003012.SZ) for ceramic tiles, and MONALISA (002918.SZ) for high-end home furnishings, alongside creative furniture brands like Micoe, specializing in sanitary ware; Ziinlife, known for innovative designs; and SHUZHI, blending Nordic and Japanese aesthetics. PapaHome has also collaborated with established institutions such as Bank of China and Towngas, expanding its offerings beyond furniture and décor to include financial services and home energy solutions, providing Hong Kong consumers with a comprehensive shopping experience tailored to their tastes and home furnishing needs.

In addition to its diverse product offerings, PapaHome partnered with Taobao delivers a seamless and supportive shopping experience. On-site “Taobao Wizards” will assist with account setup and navigation, ensuring that customers can shop with ease. Expert home stylists are available to provide personalised guidance, helping visitors curate ideal combinations of products to suit specific design visions. Further enhancing the experience, the team will utilise innovative AI and AR-driven tools to offer customised design solutions that take into account ergonomic principles and needs, ensuring both personalised comfort and style. Practical support services, including on-site measurement, further ensure a precise and tailored shopping experience.

In collaboration with undergraduate students from the Faculty of Business at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, PapaHome will showcase two feature walls during its first month of opening, highlighting themes of recycling and donating home goods and furniture, promoting responsible consumption.

Additionally, PapaHome has partnered with Crossroads Foundation to facilitate the donation of household furniture and goods. Through the PapaHome app, users can seamlessly donate high-quality items directly to Crossroads, supporting underprivileged families both locally and internationally.
