This story is about the ex-couple i.e Raj Kundra and Kavita Kundra. Raj and Kavita had got married in the year 2006 and divorced in 2009. Raj Kundra is a British- Indian businessman. In 2004, he was ranked as the 198th richest British Asian by success. Kundra has had various investment interests, including cricket and mixed martial arts. He has been married to Shilpa Shetty, a Bollywood actress, since 2009. Kavita Kundra is the Ex-wife of Raj Kundra. She was born in London, the UK in 1980. The couple moved in together for only 3 years. Kavita is the daughter of a British businessman who is essentially from India. Sources say that their marriage befell after a long relationship. Presently, Kavita currently lives with her daughter Delina in her dad’s home in London.
After three years of their marriage, what happened that the couple had to get divorced? Although many people know the reason for their split up, some people yet stand clueless and follow all the articles and information put up by the media supporting Raj Kundra.
According to Raj Kundra, it was the mistake of his Ex-wife that led them to divorce. He allegedly blames Kavita who was not only pregnant at that time but had borne a child who was 40 days old at the time of divorce. According to the news and media, Raj Kundra mentioned the cause of the divorce being his ex-wife having an affair with his sister’s husband and on catching her with proof, he left her along with his 40-day old daughter. He further forced his ex-wife for a divorce and when asked by her whether he wanted to get married to someone else, he ignored the question even though he was seeing Shilpa Shetty at that time and denied it from the media.
In the case of Kavita Kundra, in the interview to the Daily Mail, she had said, “I look at the pictures of them together and think, she’s with my husband, she’s living my life. While I was trying to put our marriage back together, he was talking constantly about Shilpa, as if it didn’t matter what happened to us because he had found someone better, cleverer, and more famous than me.” Kavita on another hand blames Shilpa Shetty for being friendly with her husband and that being the prime reason for the divorce when she tried to take care of her relationship with Raj. Raj and Shilpa denied rumors of a relationship for months from the media and Kavita. However, in December 2007, Shilpa confirmed to Daily Mail that they were indeed seeing each other which eventually did play a part in Raj’s divorce from Kavita.
We need to understand as humans that a man leaving his wife and a month-old child isn’t the smartest thing to do especially when the man is seeking a relationship elsewhere ignoring his own family. Only Kavita and her family must have understood the hardships of Delina growing up without a father at such a young age that she won’t even remember him because of the split-off between her parents. We need to also understand that the divorce was persisted by Raj Kundra.
On Monday, 26th July 2021, Raj Kundra was arrested for directing pornographic films and posting them online on apps through which he earned a lot of money (over Rs 1.17 crore). This dark business of Raj was hidden from Shilpa which led to her being traumatized when the police raided their house in search of this evidence which was found to be true. Shilpa broke down and then shouted at Raj for defaming the family’s name. She told him that due to his actions, their “endorsements” are being “cancelled” in the industry and the family is facing a “huge financial” loss.
One part of the conclusion to this incident is that a lie never makes a family. In case it even does, it’s only moments away till it breaks a family. What Raj did to Kavita and his daughter was not right and the fact that he manipulated many audiences and fans against Kavita through his reach in media was just ungrateful. Another main conclusion to this incident is that Karma is a Bitch and what goes around, comes around. Raj Kundra is finally paying up for his doings from almost 12 years ago.
