Exclusive Interview with Pakistan’s leading Actress & Model Jia Ali and Cricket fanatic and successful Hong Kong businessman Imran Idrees. The couple married recently in Pakistan.
Imran Idrees is an Ex Hong Kong National & International cricket player & coach. Founder of the Tehreek E Insaf Hong Kong and many East Asia Pacific countries. Tehreek E Insaf is a centrist and populist Pakistani political and the current ruling party of Pakistan, spearheaded by Imran Khan, the famous cricketer and current prime minister of Pakistan. Imran Idrees also is the founder of the United Cricket Club and Imran Cricket Academy in Hong Kong. Imran is also a managing director at Imran Sports International. Imran identifies himself as a Humanitarian , Passionate Cricket Coach and successful Businessman with innovative ideas who is ready to face any challenges ahead of him by even helping others along.
Jia Ali is a Pakistani actress and model. She is known for her roles in dramas Band Khirkyon Kay Peechay, Hum Teray Gunahgaar, Pukaar, and Meer Abru. She has played many Drama and Movie roles and was nominated in 2017 for the 3rd Galaxy Lollywood Awards for the Best Performance in a Negative Role in Saya e Khuda e Zuljalal.
The Marriage Ceremony of the Pakistani couple took place recently at Badshahi Mosque in Lahore. 
The couple shares a fantastic aura that will make anyone optimistic about their love life.
We recently had an interview with the amazing couple on a zoom call. The interview went as follows:
1. Imran Idrees, please tell us more about your love-to-marriage story with Jia?
Imran started first, “Our love story was all planned by Allah, and Allah himself did everything in his destiny. You won’t believe it but huge credit for our love story’s beginning goes to social media. I knew about the famous, beautiful, and talented Jia Ali but never had expected we would someday get married. I had invited many known celebrities from Pakistan to come to Hong Kong to attend sports and performing arts events, and Jia Ali was one of them. Jia then replies, saying that the offer was with absolute perfect words and respect which she got attracted to hence exchanged numbers with Imran since she wanted to check out Hong Kong too. When Imran came back to Pakistan and got back in touch with Jia, that’s where the romantic relationship kicked off. We chatted just like good friends for a while and after some time our conversation and relationship grew further, and we both started talking to each other regularly. I had to move back to Pakistan due to my mother’s illness, and after moving back to Pakistan, we spoke and planned to meet. So, I met Jia personally and headed straight to her and made my marriage proposal. I was introduced to immediate family members and close friends that day; my heart was pounding left, right and center. But sure, I think she could read and see my heart, and there came an immediate, YES I WILL from Jia.”
2. Jia Ali, will you consider working in Hong Kong or China movie industry if you get any offers?
Jia, looking super excited, said, “I would love to work for Chinese films, and my dream is to do one of those action-packed, intense fighting Chinese movies. I’m glad Imran would support me to achieve all my dreams even after marriage. I’m also a teacher at the Art of Living Institute. Gulzar Ji invited me in the early ’20s to be a part of an event in India, but somehow the event did not materialize. But, the feeling of going close enough to Bollywood was exhilarating and precious for me. Similar is the feeling for China and Hong Kong, and I’m sure real talents will automatically make their spaces in these developed nations. Hong Kong, here I come…Imran added, don’t worry, I will teach you a bit of Cantonese also, be ready to eat Noodles all the time during your movie shoots in Hong Kong.”
3. Imran Idrees, as we know that you will be permanently settled in Pakistan with Jia, so what are your future plans related to Hong Kong?
Imran said, “As of now, I have wrapped up my business and moved permanently to Pakistan owing to the illness of my mother but, I will be back in business in Hong Kong in a couple of months, and now my army is stronger with my better-half Jia by my side. He smiles, looking at Jia, and says, now I have my Jia with me to support me with all my social work and sports-related business activities. I will put in more effort to make it better in the field of trading and sports in Hong Kong.”
Jia added here, “I am also working to develop my brand of herbal products (Jia Cares). Imran and I will also be working together to build this brand in Pakistan, Hong Kong, and other parts of the world. I am very optimistic that with a lovely, caring, supporting, and visionary partner by my side, very soon, you will see both of us doing a lot of new things pertaining to social work alongside our business ventures in Hong Kong tied up with its backend support in Pakistan. Inshallah, you will see both the stars shining again very soon in Hong Kong and all over the world.”
4. Jia & Imran, the age gap between you two is around 5 years. Mr. Idrees, you are 43 years and Ms. Ali is 48 years, how will you overcome this sort of taboo in your religion while living in Pakistan?
Jia started first and said, “Imran, let me handle this question. Now in this century, even in Pakistan, there are no age differences in marriage. I feel that age is merely a number, and love is eternal and goes on to infinity. When two souls get attracted towards each other, it sees no age, caste, religion, and barriers. We both have been accepted, wholehearted by our friends, relatives, community leaders, media, and fans. Initially, I did have mixed feelings about our age difference, but then every time I had a doubt, my heart said, Go on Jia! He’s the man your soul has been waiting to connect with for your entire life. I did have my ups and downs in my relationships in the past, but this time the feeling was something else, which I cannot even describe. I was getting pulled towards Imran like a magnet, and I just went with the flow. I want to thank Imran for always supporting and motivating me to stay positive on this age thing, and it helped me overcome even the slightest worry I had in my heart about the age. I want to teach the younger generations about real issues and not petty ones and how to face them by setting an example.
5. Jia Ali, what are your upcoming projects this year? Would you like to share some information on this, please?
Jia, with excitement, started, “I have recently signed quite a few projects for pakistani channels and also some new episodes with Meer Abru. Frankly speaking, 2022 is looking very promising on the acting front. My fans and audience will see me very soon, not just acting but also as an enterprising lady doing my brand of Herbal products alongside my respectable husband, Imran. Also, don’t you want to see me in Hong Kong movies in 2022? Jia laughed and said, “Gary, get set and be ready. Now Jia and Imran are going to be on a rollercoaster ride holding hands and taking up things joyfully in many ways.”
6. Imran & Jia tell us five strengths and weaknesses of each other? I am sure many of Jia’s fans in Pakistan would like to know the real Jia.
Jia said, “Wow, this is an interesting question, I am ready with my ears wide open, and I would personally like to record this. Jia giggled and said, go on, Imran.”
Imran started immediately, “Jia’s strengths are, she never gives up, she always prefers to be happy and optimistic, she believes in Humanity.” Imran added further to the list, “Jia has a fantastic charisma, and she creates positive vibes that helps her remain calm that even motivates others and she always supports me with all my thoughts, ideas, plans and guides me with her great advice.
On asking about Ms. Jia’s weakness, Mr. Imran says, “She doesn’t really possess a lot of weaknesses but only strengths. However, she does have one weakness, that she trusts people very fast.” After taking a gentle pause, Imran added, “Gary, I forgot one most important weakness of hers, she is very talkative and won’t let anyone else speak” Imran laughed all out after saying this and looking at Jia said, “Please, Jia, I love this weakness of yours the most, so keep talking with me for my entire life, your voice is magic.”
Now, Jia, it’s your turn to take the harness in your hands. To this, Jia said, “Imran, has so many strengths, but the ones I admire the most are, he is Faithful & very Honest, Respectful nature, Health-conscious, Nature-loving, Animal Loving and his biggest strength for him is that always his family comes first, ahead of everything else. Just imagine Imran deciding to move back to Pakistan for his mother, forgetting about all his work, business, cricket, literally leaving everything behind in Hong Kong just for his family. When it comes to his weaknesses, I really can say this with hand to my heart; there is nothing so I can think of. He is just a perfect man, a good human being and a god-gifted child.”
7. Jia Ali, any plans of joining politics in the near future with husband Mr. Imran Idrees?
Jia said, “Actually, Imran has never really been into professional politics, rather has been more of a social / Humanitarian work person.” Imran added here, “I work for Humanity, and getting a high post or reputation means nothing to me. I want to serve the people of my country and their betterment. I have one life to live, and it’s my moral duty to do something for my community and people. My involvement with Tahreek-e-Insaf is also from the social work and community perspective and nothing to do with Politics. However, Jia and I are solid supporters of Imran Khan, and we both strongly believe in his national fundamentals and beliefs to bring our nation to another level on a global platform.”
8. Imran Idrees, can you tell me more about how you feel, with the fact of living with and married to a celebrity star?
Imran said, “Stars don’t always end up with other stars. Famous people always want to get away from the limelight and media focus to live a normal and peaceful life. Just imagine both of us are from the fields of media and public dealing, and we would be out and under pressure most of the time, with our work and career. With both of us from another field, we would have a very balanced and peaceful living for each other. I feel blessed all the time. I have already attended many interviews, tv shows with Jia after our marriage news broke out in the news. So, I am also kind of getting used to the Media things again, Imran Praised Jia for all the hard work she has done to be called a celebrity actor in Pakistan” Imran smiles with pride.
9. Jia Ali, Hong Kong-based Pakistanis would love to see you in Hong Kong soon. When do you plan to visit HK?
Jia said, “Inshallah very soon, as this pandemic comes to an end, I am eagerly waiting and would love to visit Hong Kong along with my beloved Husband Mr. Imran Idrees.”
10. Jia & Imran, this question is for both. Was marriage planned for this year or it happened all of a sudden? describe to us the series of events taking you both towards the big day of marriage.
Jia replied, “Imran and I began to get very close after we got in touch through social media. We used to chat a lot during the night-time, often as other couples do. During the initial days after we started knowing each other, I was going through a bad phase in my life, and Imran was always there for me, all the time, literally 24×7, I would say. One fine day, after Imran had moved back to Pakistan, he surprised me by coming to my home and asked for my hand from my family. I was so damn shocked and surprised by this gesture and guts of Imran that I was clean bowled right over there. Imran proposed to me again in front of my family and asked me to be his wife. Our families met each other and accepted us as a couple, and then we moved towards the big day of my life.”
Imran added, “due to the ongoing pandemic situation in Pakistan and as a socially responsible citizen of our country, we kept a low-key marriage event with just our close family and relatives. It was not planned for this year or even next year, but sometimes, things happen independently. Allah decides it, and you get carried away. That’s exactly what we both did. We listened to our hearts and moved ahead with the marriage.”
11. Jia & Imran, will you both be working towards some charity, social benefits, and community work towards the Pakistani’s living in Hong Kong?
Both answered at the same time, “Yes.” Imran said, “We both give immense importance to social work and charity. Imran then said, “Charity is never to be shown in public. My main goal is to teach a person to catch a fish than to give the person a fish.” He then explains how much he is ready to help the people and to see them succeed in their lives.
With the above last question, our Interview came to an end, and Gary wished Imran and Jia on behalf of the entire team of A-Desiflava Magazine. Gary said, “Imran and Jia, my entire team and I would like to firstly congratulate you both for a new life looking ahead together with lots of luck, good hopes, togetherness, good memories, a great life, and a successful career ahead.
