Get ready for a night where rhythm meets rivalry! The A-Desiflava Navratri Utsav 2025 is set to be Hong Kong’s most vibrant Navratri celebration, uniting over 600 Garba and Dandiya enthusiasts for an unforgettable evening on October 4th at the TST Welfare Association Kai Fong Hall.
Fueling the festivities will be the electrifying live music of the legendary Garba Queen, Priti Savla Gandhi, and renowned Bollywood composer Jayesh Gandhi with their band, JP Music Cafe. They will perform for over four hours, ensuring the energy never drops as you dance the night away.
As we celebrate the 9th year of this mega event, the climax of the night is the much-anticipated Garba Competition. Here’s how you can be a part of it:
The Selection:
Starting at 8:00 PM, our esteemed judges will scout the dance floor, presenting special neck tags to the top 100 performers of the night. Receiving a tag is your official entry into the competition.
The Final Showdown: From 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the dance floor becomes a stage! All 100 neck tag holders must perform non-stop, giving their absolute best for our judges.
The Crowns: This is your chance to win glory! Our judges will crown the Garba King, Garba Queen, Best Dressed Male, Best Dressed Female, Garba Prince, and Garba Princess (for kids aged 5-14). All winners will be given trophies and prizes sponsored by Voltmi.com

Judging Criteria :
Choreography: Judges assess the originality and creativity of the dance movements.
Execution: The precision and technical skill in performing the steps are evaluated.
Artistic Elements: Aspects like costume choice, overall presentation, and energy contribute to the artistic score.
Beats & Rhythm: A critical factor is how well the dancers’ steps match the rhythm and beats of the music.
Authenticity: Some competitions may favor performances that stick to traditional Garba styles and lyrics.

Purvi Butola :
Purvi Butola is a founder of Team Raas n Rhythm, is a performer, teacher, and choreographer from India who has promoted Indian culture in Hong Kong since 2015. She collaborates with universities, charities, and schools to conduct multicultural dance workshops and cultural lessons, enriching the local dance scene and fostering cultural awareness through various artistic initiatives.
Raas N Rhythm is a one stop platform promoting multiculture events in hongkong since last 10 years.
Master Hari Om :
Master Hari Om is the trendsetter of Kuchipudi , Bollywood and Semi classical Indian dance in Hong Kong where he has been living since 2003. He has been a Kuchipudi guru , performer and choreographer since he started dancing at the age of 3. He has dedicated his life to performing and teaching dance for over 4 decades and continues to inspire many students and aspiring dancers to learn the beautiful dance forms with dedication and passion. He and his students who have formed Hari Om Dance Society have performed in many prestigious events both locally and internationally in countries such as USA, UK, Japan , China , Taiwan , Singapore , Macau and India.
Harry Baath :
Harry Baath, is the founder of Funjabi Bhangra Hong Kong (FBHK) which is a Hong Kong bhangra group & Learn Bhangra Hong Kong academy since 2006 dedicated to the development and promotion of the art of the traditional folk dance from Punjab in Hong Kong. We strive to provide our dancers the best experience and opportunities to perform inside and outside Hong Kong
Harry is also the certified Bhangra instructor and Asia’s brand ambassador of Learn Bhangra Academy which is global bhangra dance acedemy based in New York.
Bhangra is an energetic, folk dance and music form that originated from Punjab, India. Today, it’s the newest dance, music, and fitness phenomenon spreading all over the world.
Harry have lead FBHK to represent Hong Kong by participating in the international competitions in the past and achieved the award:
– Bhangra Dance Off Malaysia (1st Place), in 2018
– Reddot Bhangra Singapore (1st Place) in 2019
– Arena Bhangra Delhi (3rd Place) in 2020
– Melbourne Bhangra Cup (2nd Place) in 2023
– Hong Kong International Bhangra Comp in 2025
Harry have also conduct several international workshop in the past such as in Philippines, Indonesia, Japan and Also in New York and will continue to conduct more in the future to bring bhangra to everyone.
Recently he have hosted the first international bhangra competition inviting oversea team in Hong Kong and performed along with Diljit Dosanjh at Aura Tour in both Hong Kong and Malaysia.
