The spirit of Punjab came alive in Hong Kong as a grand Vaisakhi Mela was celebrated at the India Club on 29th March 2026. Organized by Renu Singh and Sunil Singh of Sai Sajawat, along with Raju Mann Musical Group, the event brought together a vibrant mix of culture, music, and tradition.
With a gathering of around 150–200 attendees, including distinguished guests, district consulars, and members from diverse communities, the celebration truly reflected unity in diversity.
Musical Performances That Stole the Show
The evening was filled with electrifying musical performances by talented singers including Raju Mann, Kashmir Gill, and Bitta Sandhu.
Raju Mann not only invited renowned Punjabi singers from India but also mesmerized the audience by performing several lively Punjabi songs himself, creating an unforgettable musical experience.
Energetic Dance Performances
The event showcased vibrant dance performances organized by Pooja Loungani. Performers from Pooja’s Fitness & Dance Studio TST and the Punjabi Bhangra Group Hong Kong lit up the stage with energetic bhangra and cultural dances.
Adding to the charm, young children also participated, bringing joy and enthusiasm to the celebration.
A Captivating Host and Cultural Insight
The event was gracefully hosted by Neena Pushkarna, who did an exceptional job as the MC. She not only entertained the audience with Punjabi songs but also beautifully explained the significance of Vaisakhi to Chinese, Nepali, and other international guests.
Her efforts helped bridge cultural gaps and made the event more meaningful for everyone present.

In true Indian tradition, distinguished guests were warmly welcomed and honoured with shawls by the organisers and Neena ji. This gesture added a touch of authenticity and respect to the event, leaving a lasting impression on attendees.
