Kathaa- Stories from India on Hong Kong Walls

The second edition of Kathaa, a community driven arts festival celebrating Indian folk arts, featuring artwork from four Indian artists being painted by various Hong Kong artists across exterior murals in multiple locations in Hong Kong. This is an initiative by India in China (Consulate General of India,Hong Kong), Memeraki and HK walls to promote Indian Tribal Art.

Featured artists include- 

  • Adarsh- Kerala Mural
  • Mohan Prajapati- Miniature Art
  • Sudheer- Kalamkari
  • Sai Kiryan- Cheriyal Scroll

Local HK Artists include-

  • Aaron Tse
  • Ahmed Rida Nisar
  • Ruby Law
  • Shweta Rastogi

We’re most excited to see the work of Sudheer showing the art form of Kalamkari , but since he will not be able to attend the event Shweta Rastogi with a team of 21 talented Indian artists who go by the name “Indian artists in Hong Kong”.  All with different backgrounds are coming together for this event for the purpose of expressing their art and their culture , Shweta says ‘Being a part of something that adds more value and purpose to my skills , that’s what Kathaa means to me’.
