The Short Courses Offered by VTC For Cantonese are-

Survival Cantonese (20 hours course duration 8 Lessons x2.5hrs) 

Survival Cantonese is ideal for students who do not know any Cantonese. It teaches you some essential vocabulary and phrases for everyday situations. At the end of the course, students will be able to chat with people on familiar topics in Cantonese, shop for daily necessities using Cantonese and to read and write simple Chinese characters.

Socialising Cantonese (20 hours course duration 8 Lessons x2.5hrs)

This course is ideal for students who know some basic Cantonese. This course  contains mixing lectures and workshops so students can learn through practical activities. It improves their pronunciation and teaches them sophisticated expressions for daily situations. At the end of the course, students will be able to use Cantonese while travelling in public transport to communicate effectively in Cantonese while eating out in restaurants and to read and write simple Chinese characters. 

We suggest you take ‘Survival Cantonese’ before ‘Socialising Cantonese’. Otherwise an entry test will be arranged over the phone to assess your competence in Cantonese.

Commencement date – 7th December 2021 

Application Deadline – 5th November 2021

Course Fee – $1,200
